“The truffle hunt with five course truffle meal and cooking lesson was such a highlight. Our trip was well organized and you took all the stress out of visiting Italy. The experiences were intimate and unique, a great trip. I certainly recommend Taste of Italy. ” –Jim

“This culinary & art history walking tour was a beautiful experience.  Astrid, our all-things-culinary-guide, is truly lovely and delightful, having a personal love affair with Italy, the people & culture, the history, the food; she has a “soul for Italy”.  Astrid will guide you to the best must-see places, but she will also take you places that the average tourist would not find on their own. The culinary experiences were everything from outrageously fun to the surreal. For the cooking lessons we learned the local Tuscan dishes and the olive oil tastings was unique. My most memorable trip highlight was walking to the ancient church where we got to listen to Gregorian chanting by the monks during mass.  I absolutely loved every moment of every day!“      –Shelley

group“I cherished every moment of the trip to Tuscany. It was so vivid and will never leave my heart and mind. Every portion was unique and was well planned, Astrid created a week of unique experiences, organized with thoughtfulness and great attention to detail. Spending the week with with others in our small group was an especially bonding experience, cooking, being taken to unique places, and seeing the beautiful art. The trip experiences made me feel completely saturated in the Italian culture and flavors.  I think of the trip, my photos, and Italian recipes often. Thank you for giving me a memory to last the rest of my life.”       –Laurel

“One of the highlights of our year was the beautiful experience you put together, thank you! or should I say Grazie!”      –Jenelle

“I highly recommend this trip, as it allows the traveler to not only see the unique sites of Florence, but become part of the local flavor. Astrid is a knowledgeable and compassionate guide. The trip was an experience I will always remember.  One of the highlights was the cooking lesson when we made panzanella and papardelle  from scratch.  It was fun to make dinner together, followed with a wine tasting hosted by a local sommelier at a family owned trattoria.  We were based in the historic part of town-a central location, which provided a home base for the group. This allowed us to feel comfortable in venturing out on our own during free time, and helped us feel like a part of the local community.”      — Carol, MN
